Scripture is our foundation and final authority. We are committed to teaching and living God's Word faithfully, allowing biblical truth to shape our worship, relationships, decisions, and mission. We desire to be a church not only that believes the Bible, but is transformed by it.
We believe worship should honor God with both authenticity and excellence. Through meaningful, Christ-centered music and worship experiences, we seek to lead people into a deeper awareness of God's presence, truth, and grace. Our goal is not performance, but wholehearted worship that inspires and unites the church.
We are passionate about investing in the next generation. Our children's and youth ministries help young people know Jesus, grow in their faith, build lasting relationships, and develop a strong biblical foundation — partnering with families to raise disciples who will follow Christ for a lifetime.
We believe the church is called to actively serve and bless the community around it. Through compassion, outreach, partnership, and practical ministry, we seek to demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways — making a meaningful and lasting impact in Centerville and beyond.
What we believe and why.
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all-knowing and all-powerful, creates and preserves all things, and is infinitely perfect.
Eph 4:4–6; Isa 44:6; 2 Cor 13:14; 1 John 3:20; Isa 55:11; Col 1:16–17; Matt 5:48
We believe God entered this world as the person of Jesus Christ, foretold as our savior. He is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He lived without sin, died on a cross to pay our debt of sin, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will soon return to make all things new.
John 1:1, 14; Isa 53:5; John 10:30; Luke 24:39; John 3:16; Matt 1:20, 23; 2 Cor 5:21; Col 2:13–14; Rom 1:4; Rev 21:5
We believe God is present in the world as the person of the Holy Spirit. He calls us to faith and dwells within each believer. He helps us to become more like Christ and gives us spiritual gifts intended for serving the church.
Ps 139:7–8; John 16:8–14; John 14:17; 2 Cor 3:18; 1 Cor 12:4–6
We believe the Bible consists of sixty-six books written by humans and inspired by God. As such, the Bible is God's word as he intended — without error and completely authoritative over every aspect of human life.
2 Tim 3:16–17; Matt 5:18; John 14:26; John 10:35–36; Heb 4:12
We believe humans were created by and in the image of God, and all are deserving of love as Christ has called us to, no matter their circumstance. Through voluntary sin, the first humans were separated from God, and since then all have been born with a sinful nature and are in need of restoration with the creator.
Gen 1:27; John 15:12; Gen 3:4–6; Ps 51:5; 2 Cor 5:18–19
We believe Jesus Christ provided the pathway to restoration by his death on a cross. Through this, he stands in our place and pays for the punishment we deserve. All who have faith in Christ are justified in the eyes of God.
John 14:6; Heb 10:10; Rom 5:8; Col 1:14; John 3:16
We believe that Christ rose from the dead, and this is the most important event in the history of creation. The faith and teaching of Christianity hinges on this historical fact.
Mark 16:6; Rom 4:25; Rom 1:1–7
We believe that those who have true faith in Christ belong to one church worldwide, which functions as his body. The objective of the church is to help believers grow in their faith and share the gospel with everyone.
1 Cor 1:13; Eph 1:23; Heb 10:24–25; Matt 28:19–20; 1 Tim 4:13; 2 Tim 4:1–2; Col 3:16; 1 Cor 11:23–26
We believe Christ will soon return from heaven to make things new and rule with righteousness.
Rev 22:20; Rev 21:5; Rev 19:15–16
We believe that those who reject Christ will suffer and be separated from him for all eternity. Those who have faith in him will enjoy his presence and glory forever.
Matt 10:33; John 5:24
We believe that God created only two genders, male and female. We believe that sexuality is reserved for the confines of faithful marriage, and that marriage is reserved for one man and one woman.
Gen 1:27; 1 Cor 7:2–5
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all-knowing and all-powerful, creates and preserves all things, and is infinitely perfect.
